Yes, the guys are finally back in the studio, following their very successful string of dates in the US.
No definite clues as yet to the direction, though we are reckoning that the album will bridge the gap between the garagey Doom sound of the first album , combined with the improved songwriting skills witnessed on the recent 45, ‘If Crimson Was Your Colour’.
Enigmatic frontman Magnus Pelander has also hinted at some more progressive leanings on some of the tracks,but has refused to elaborate further.

A special UK one off show will be announced shortly, followed by more US dates and a UK tour.

The Welsh bruisers are scheduled to enter the studio in June to record ‘Secrets and Lies’ the follow up to their highly acclaimed 2005 debut, ‘The Ruin Of Nova Roma’.Slated for an October release, the album will again be mixed by Alex Newport – expect tales of bachannalia, betrayal, fashionistas and harlots.

Electric Wizard are currently working on material for their yet to be titled 6th album for Rise Above Records.The band plan to enter the studio in June, with the album to be released before the end of the year.More details as we have them.

Finally, after much delay, due to various reasons, this killer 7” is being pressed as we speak.It features an insanely slow cover of Discharge classic 'Maimed & Slaughtered' performed by UK sicko slomo's, Moss.Sharing this split are French freaks Monarch, who do a ripping rendition of Turbonegro fave 'I Got Erection', with crazed female vocals! Great stuff.

Circulus: Early Anthology sees the light of day

That’s right, finally the band’s debut album from 1999, Giantism, finally sees a legitimate reissue. Added to it are a bunch of previously unreleased tracks and unreleased singles.The recordings show the band in their formative stages before becoming the band we all now know. Completely re-mastered and housed in new striking psychedelic art, courtesy of Tony Roberts, the album is slated for a May release.

London based doom rock power trio Winters have finished their debut album for Rise Above Records.The album comes housed in stunning artwork by David Andrea and has been Produced by Dan Swift. It’s an an album filled with great hooks, catchy riffs and great slacker style vocals.Winters are definitely a new band to look out for this year.

Classic gods of Doom, Candlemass are having a 20 ‘year’ bash at The Shrine, StockholmOn March 31st. Johan Langquist will be joining them live on stage for the first time ever, as the band perform tracks from the legendary Epicus Doomicus Metallicus album.Also making his debut for the band will be new singer, Robert Lowe from Solitude Aeturnus.Guest Dj’s of the evening will be Lee Dorrian from Cathedral and Magnus Pelander from Witchcraft. Support comes from the mighty Grand Magus, who are set to record their 4th full length album forRise Above Records this summer.
