Signed By Force records: a must check!!!

Signed By Force records is a label based in Montreal which is constructing a solid reference on the underground starting from home material. Home material means SBF is boosting Montreal scene as we know. Take as example bands like Bionic, Trigger Effect or Starvin Hungry, canadian delicatessen only growth by these latitudes.

Soon we will have here reviews from the latest work of each mentioned bands, so stay tuned until this happens...
And of course, Rama / Signed By Force records: Welcome to NOIZELAND family.

"Signed By Force is a Montreal based label founded by Semprini Records owner Ramachandra Borcar. He figured that running one label wasn't enough so why not double the headache. Having been the drummer of 80's cult hardcore band Hazy Azure, his love for punk, heavy rock, metal and psychedelic weirdness never wore off. Thus, a new label was created to cater to his fondness of true rock n' roll in it's heaviest, rawest and dirtiest forms. With the label's first three simultaneous releases of Bionic, Starvin Hungry and Trigger Effect, SBF has already proven that it's here to deliver the goods.
The official label and triple CD launch happened on October 4th during the Pop Montreal festival with performances from the entire label roster."

Hotel Wrecking City Traders

Simply awesome instrumental stoner-rock work from this twisted name band made of two evil minds. Yeah!! You read right: TWO PEOPLE. Clear?

This is a perfect bunch of songs to be heard while you punish an up to date muscle car stepping on the gas pedal to the end on a desert road... Just listen "Get High Mothefucker" and you'll understand...

They're playing with respected bands and I'm pretty sure they're keeping a high status after each gig... and remember: if it's OZ, it's good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right on the start, first song "The Porch", will write on your grey matter names of well-known stoner-rock bands, specially because of that guitar tune and their riffs. So, you can store them with your fave records.6 Tracks are only a few, though the last one, "7 Minutes Of Tape" can be considered whether a filler or a great doom piece. That's up to you.

I Ate At LORDI's Rocktaurant @ Rovaniemi

I didn't know about this matter but during my stay at Rovaniemi, doing a walk, I found LORDI's restaurant on one of the main streets there.

I almost pass over it without notice because of the snow but my niece told me about the big skull over the door.

After that, I realised about Lordi's logo on some black panels near the door. It was closed at that time, like most shops there because of the 90th anniversary of Finland's independence. So I decided to steal a gap of time to my visits just to eat there. I imagined how "fingers starters" (check Lordi's necklace) could taste...

So, coupla days after that, I went there.
Don't expect a big place: its capacity could be around 30 people located in two zones separated by the counter, in which you gotta ask for the menu. But I think it is enough for a typical fast food restaurant, anyway.
On the other hand, if you expect Lordi's items such as masks, comics, etc, you'll have a bunch of them including, of course, full-sized copy figures of the members of the band (Sorry but my pictures are awful).
I asked for a hamburger and received a XXL well done one in a big dish full of french fries which fully satisfied me.
Mainly heavy music goes with you thru the meal in a soft volume so you can go with people doesn't like this kind of music and they won't complain...
LORDI's Rocktaurant, a recommended visit...
